Graco Family Tree Duo Stroller Customer Review: Could be better
Like the other reviewer said it is very heavy and big. I bought it for my twins because I had heard good reviews abt graco products and I bought the car seats from them too. A few things that I don’t like:
1. It was too big for my twins they were 5 lbs and they couldn’t fit in this stroller. Now my ds is 13 lbs but she still can’t sit properly.
2. It doesn’t have the shoulder belt which while buying it, I didn’t notice but now that I am using it I wish they had it instead of the lap belt since my twins heads flop from side to side. And since my ds started getting a flat head the shoulder belt would have helped keep her head in the middle not to the right side which she needs to avoid.
3. Very heavy. It will be ok for a big guy to lift and put it in the car trunk but for an average built woman like I am it’s is heavy and once you put it in the trunk there is not much room for anything else. I had to put the groceries in the back seat and front once.
4. Because of the light color it gets dirty very easily.
5. You have to remove the attached tray and canopy then only you can fold it.
6. The back seat doesn’t recline all the way like many other strollers on the market.
7. My ds’ therapist thought that it was a very dangerous for the baby to sit in it without the shoulder belt and said that the baby could fall off.
The things I like abt it are, the basket below it roomy. I can put a big diaper bag and a few more bags while shopping. I didn’t find it that difficult to maneuver. Although If given the choice I wouldn’t but this again.
Customer Review: big and heavy
I bought this stroller when I had my second baby because I liked the single version (Graco Metrolite) I expected that having two kids would be somewhat of a hassle but this is unreal.
1. You need 2 hands to recline the seats (like I ever have 2 hands for anything). The carseat does fit securely, but I have to nearly tip the baby upide down to get it in.
2. It is very heavy, NEVER and option for public transportation. I find it nearly impossible to lug up and down the 3 stairs in front of my house. I just wind up pushing it into my garage.
3. It is big, I feel like I’m always apologizing to someone for being in the way.
4. You have to remove the attachments (snack and toy bars) to get it to fold, and even then you will need another person to help you lift it. (again with the extra hands).
5. It is hard to manuever, doesn’t turn well, and with my 24lb toddler in front is hardly turns at all.
all in all, It will carry your 2 children (If they will sit), the basket is huge and easy to access (if the rear seat is upright, w/ no carseat), and it will provide plenty of privacy if you are trying to hide youself (like if you want to descreetly nurse at the park), but it is not a “convenience” stroller by any means. Two children are bulky enough, I would definately not buy this again.
